Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in the UK seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain and commission Grid Entry Units at client sites across the country. You will perform planned preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues and participate in installation projects.

The role is field-based with country-wide travel and occasional overnight stays. You will test units for safety, train operators, analyze faults, and collaborate with clients to implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial servicing or controls systems.
• Gas industry experience or Biogas/Biomethane industry experience advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical/problem solving skills with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual servicing including condition-based servicing and PPM, submit full job reports.
• Test Grid Entry Unit for safety and functionality before sign-off; provide training to new users.
• Investigate issues, identify faults and perform system analysis, replacements as needed.
• Engage with clients to understand issues, observe, suggest improvements, provide recommendations.
• Meet customer needs via remote support as part of an on-call rota.

Job description

We have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer - Grid Entry Units to join us at Honeywell, in the UK, where you will be responsible for maintenance and commissioning of predominately Bio-Gas Grid Entry Units at our client sites across the UK, undertaking planned preventative maintenance or troubleshooting issues and to work on projects of new installations on required sites. This is a field-based role, with country wide travel as required with occasional overnight stays. Honeywell Industrial Automation enables our customers to run safer and more efficient operations. • Manage the annual servicing of the facility, including condition-based servicing and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), and submit full job reports.
• Test the Grid Entry Unit to ensure it is safe and functioning correctly before sign-off, and provide hands-on training and knowledge to new users/operators.

• Engage with clients to understand issues, make observations, suggest improvements, and provide recommendations.

• Previous experience within industrial servicing or controls systems Solid analytical/problem solving skills and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written.
• Gas industry experience or HND/HNC level qualifications, experience in the Biogas/Biomethane industries would be advantageous.
