Job summary

Chase Taylor Recruitment Ltd is representing a globally recognised manufacturer of premium glass processing machinery. They seek a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission, service and repair complex machinery across the UK and Ireland, with occasional overseas travel.

You will diagnose faults, read complex schematics, and deliver training and excellent customer service. The role requires a strong engineering background, independence on site, and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Strong multi-disciplinary engineering background across electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities on complex equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with PLC and servo-controlled machinery.
• Proactive, customer-facing and able to work independently on site.
• Willingness to travel across UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service specialist glass processing machinery at customer sites.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.
• Fault-find across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Provide professional technical support and ensure excellent customer service.
• Deliver technical assistance and training to customers and colleagues as required.
