Job summary

Generator Power is recruiting a Field Service Engineer for its Reading depot. The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours with overtime rates, weekly pay, and benefits including a company vehicle, company mobile, pension and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Duties include servicing and maintaining hire fleet and customer equipment, fault diagnosis, installation on site, site power installation, loading/unloading, and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Plant/Mechanical engineering qualifications required.
• Forklift Truck Licence desired; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned service and maintenance on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Fault location, diagnosis and rectification on hire fleet and customers' equipment.
• Prepare equipment for hire.
• Install and disconnect equipment on site; synchronise where appropriate.
• Install and commission power to temporary site accommodation; wire in where appropriate.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• On-call rota duties.
• Complete and submit company paperwork as per procedure.
• Safeguard company assets; ensure documentation is correct for all items leaving the depot.
