Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Generator & BESS Service Engineer to service and fault-find on generator and energy storage systems across the UK. You’ll travel to customer sites with a company vehicle and deliver hands-on electrical and control system diagnostics.

The role is home-based with a field service focus, offering a mix of planned maintenance and reactive work, with progression opportunities within a growing technical team.

Qualifications

• Experience in power generation or electrical engineering in field-based roles.
• Experience with control systems, switchgear or power equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service, maintenance and fault-finding on generator and BESS systems.
• Diagnose electrical and control-related issues in the field.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers as required.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Complete service records and technical reports accurately.
