Job summary

Protea, a UK gas analysis solutions provider, seeks a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and troubleshoot gas analysers across the UK and overseas. You will commission equipment, perform site tests and support customers at their sites, including vessels and industrial installations.

The role includes factory service at Peterborough and training during the first six months. You will need hands-on experience with gas analysers, calibration using certified gases, fault finding, and the

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, commissioning or repairing gas analysers.
• Experience calibrating with certified gases and validating performance.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and use test equipment.
• Experience on industrial customer sites with safety procedures.
• Strong communication to explain findings to customers.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, calibrate and repair gas analysers and emissions monitoring systems.
• Undertake UK and overseas service assignments, including marine applications.
• Inspect and calibrate returned equipment at Peterborough.
• Commission equipment and perform Site Acceptance Testing.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and software faults.
• Use certified calibration gases while safely handling cylinders.
• Inspect sampling systems and related components.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to customers.
• Complete service reports and calibration records.
• Follow site requirements and Protea safety procedures.
• Share recurring issues with engineering and support teams.
