Job summary

Forkway, a leading UK materials handling solutions provider, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain, repair and service HYG equipment across customer and company fleets. This permanent role is based in Dewsbury with a 40-hour week and a company vehicle.

You will diagnose faults, source parts cost-effectively, and complete all service documentation while upholding safety standards. The ideal candidate has engineering qualifications, field service experience, and a valid UK driving

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering or technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic disciplines.
• Proven field service or workshop engineering experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to assess issues and set repair priorities.
• Maintain communication with customers and service controller during repairs.
• Diagnose faults and source correct parts cost-effectively.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs per standards and specs.
• Ensure safety checks and compliance on return to customer.
• Identify additional service opportunities and support revenue growth.
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.
• Deliver professional customer service and act as company ambassador.
