Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is helping a market-leading materials handling business recruit a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks across Hertfordshire and Essex. You will diagnose faults, perform planned servicing and breakdown repairs, and manage your own workload with support from an experienced technical team.

The role offers a realistic progression path, a company van and fuel card, and regular overtime with door-to-door pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on servicing or maintenance experience.
• Experience with forklift trucks or mobile plant machinery.
• Proficient in electrical, mechanical and hydraulics.
• Recognised engineering qualification.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and MHE across customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and perform planned servicing and breakdown repairs.
• Manage own workload and daily schedule with support from technical team.
• Stay up to date with latest materials handling technology.

Covering Hertfordshire and Essex (CM, EN, IG, RM, SS, AL and SG)

Salary

£30,000 - £37,000 (40 Hours) or £36,000 - £42,500 (45 Hours)

Shift

Monday to Friday - 40 Hour or 45 Hour Week available

Job Role

I'm currently partnering with a market-leading materials handling business that is expanding its team and looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer. The role will involve servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and a variety of MHE equipment across customer sites within your local area. As a Field Service Engineer, you'll carry out diagnostics, fault finding, planned servicing and breakdown repairs, while having the freedom to manage your own workload and daily schedule. You'll be backed by an experienced technical support team and receive ongoing manufacturer training, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and stay up to date with the latest materials handling technology.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Must have hands on Servicing or Maintenance Experience
• Maintenance experience of Forklift Trucks or Mobile Plant Machinery or HGV's or industrial Vehicles
• Have hands-on experience in the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics
• Recognised Engineering Qualification
• Full UK Driving License

Desirable Requirements

• Previously have worked as a Field Service Engineer
• Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Engineering
