Job summary

VanRath is seeking a Generator Service Engineer in Lisburn to service diesel generators and electrical control systems across Northern Ireland. You will work within a specialist service team, performing routine servicing, fault diagnosis and control-system upgrades while engaging directly with customers.

The role requires time-served electrical engineering experience, ONC/HNC or equivalent, and a full driving licence, with a 39k–40k salary and a 39-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding in industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proven time-served electrical engineering/technician background.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance on diesel generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform reactive maintenance for customer installations.
• Programme and interrogate generator controllers and control systems.
• Ensure work complies with IET standards and service schedules.
• Complete accurate service reports and timesheets.
