Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support diesel engine and propulsion systems across the M4 corridor and surrounding regions. The role involves fault diagnostics, on-site servicing, and remote diagnostics, with occasional travel beyond Reading, London, and Bristol.

You will operate a company van, laptop, and mobile for service delivery. This field-based position requires hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding and a customer‑facing mindset.

Qualifications

• NVQ L3+ or equivalent is required.
• Experience with fault diagnostics and remote diagnostics.
• Valid pre-employment checks including medicals, drug and alcohol screening.
• Preferred background in ex-force personnel, marine, rail, automotive, HGV or bus sectors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault diagnostics on modern diesel engines and downloading data for ECUs.
• Remote diagnostic work to evaluate and interpret data and identify likely faults before site visits.
• Maintain performance and availability of diesel engines in rolling stock.
• Represent the global leading brand with engineering and commercial knowledge.
