PDS is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service, repair and install commercial laundry machinery in the South Yorkshire area. The role is field-based with a focus on fault diagnosis and first-time fix rates, plus no weekend work or on-call rotas.

You will operate with a base salary of £35,000–£40,000 and door-to-door pay, offering OTE £45,000+ while enjoying regular hours and a family-owned environment. Training will be provided to expand capabilities.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 3 years in a field service, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance engineering role.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical equipment and circuitry with fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory).
• Willingness to undergo structured cross-training on specialized commercial laundry machinery

Job Title: Field Service Engineer – Commercial Laundry

Location: south yorkshire (Field-based)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 Base Salary - Door-to-Door Pay (OTE £45,000+)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 17:30 (flexible) 37.5 hour week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer based in or around south yorkshire. In this multi-skilled role, your primary focus will be servicing, repairing, and installing commercial laundry machinery.

Unlike many engineering roles, we value your downtime: we operate with no weekend work and no on-call rotas.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Laundry Equipment: Diagnose electrical/mechanical faults, service, and repair commercial laundry equipment (industrial washers, tumble dryers, and ironers).
• Installations: Execute precise installation work for commercial laundry machinery and care equipment systems
• Compliance & First-Fix Efficiency: Maintain accurate digital job sheets and compliance records while managing van stock to maintain high first-fix rates.

Key Requirements

• Field Service Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a field service, electro-mechanical, or industrial maintenance engineering role (laundry or commercial appliance experience advantageous).
• Electrical Proficiency: Strong practical knowledge of electrical equipment and circuitry, with proven fault-finding and multimeter diagnostic skills.
• Eagerness to Learn: Full willingness to undergo structured cross-training on specialized commercial laundry machinery
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (mandatory).
• Attributes: Self-motivated, methodical, disciplined with time management, and comfortable working independently on the road.

Desirable (Bonus) Qualifications & Experience

• Experience with commercial laundry brands (e.g., Miele, Electrolux, Girbau, Primus).
• Valid Domestic ACS Gas (CCN1) or Commercial ACS Gas Laundry qualifications (CLE1 / LAU1 / CCLNG1).
• Experience with medical/care equipment brands
• 18th Edition Electrical or Part P certification.
