Job summary

FRONTrunner Recruitment Ltd. are expanding and recruiting a commercial laundry equipment engineer to service and maintain a range of commercial laundry gear across Devon. You will work on electrical and gas-fired equipment and travel to client sites including nursing homes, hospitals and hotels.

Training on gas laundry equipment is available for suitable candidates. Candidates with gas certificates earn 38k basic, while those without gas certs but with relevant electrical experience start around

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial laundry equipment is beneficial but not essential.
• Gas certificates required or in progress; domestic or commercial gas certificates preferred.
• Willing to train on gas commercial laundry equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment – washers, dryers, irons, finishing machines, dishwashers and dosing machines.
• Working on electrical and gas fired equipment.
• Covering Devon.
• Liaising with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, holiday parks and hotels.

Job description

Good opportunities to work for a nationwide, commercial laundry company that is going through some great expansion these past few years. After a number of company acquisitions they are looking to strengthen their position to be able to provide a quality service to its clients. They have been running over 20 years and can count some very well know companies as clients.

Due to a expansion they are currently looking for a commercial laundry equipment engineer, you will be:-

• Providing service and maintenance on commercial laundry equipment – commercial and industrial washing machines, tumble driers, rotary irons, finishing machines, dishwashers and some dosing machines
• Working on electrical and gas fired commercial laundry equipment
• Covering Devon
• Working with clients such as nursing homes, hospitals, offices, holiday parks, hotels

Experience / skills required for a commercial laundry engineer

• Experience within commercial laundry equipment would be beneficial but is not essential
• They are looking to train someone up on gas commercial laundry equipment so need someone with existing domestic or commercial gas certificates
• They would also consider someone who has experience working on commercial catering equipment or commercial dishwashers
• Living anywhere in or around Devon, ideally living Barnstaple to Taunton to Exeter but also further south to Torquay would be considered
• Good electrical competency

Salary for a commercial laundry engineer

• 38k basic if you have any gas certificates
• 35k basic if you don’t have gas certs but have relevant electrical industry experience
• Door to door travel pay
• 2k annual performance bonus paid on a quarterly basis
• Van, phone, overtime
• Call out rota for 1 weekend in 6
• 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
• Great further training on gas laundry equipment
