Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to service automated material handling systems across customer sites. The role requires mechanical bias with fault-finding skills and experience on conveyors or industrial equipment.

You will travel between sites, perform breakdown support and preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation. The ideal candidate holds NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical maintenance, has a Full UK driving licence and

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with electrical understanding.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery or material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel and participate in on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive breakdown maintenance and planned servicing on automated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on industrial machinery.
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings and drives.
• Respond to customer breakdowns with effective repairs and document service activities.
• Assist with PLC diagnostics and control system troubleshooting.
• Complete service reports and maintain records.
