Job summary

Global Fire and Security Systems is seeking a Service Engineer for Ansul & Fire Extinguishers, field-based across West London. The role covers servicing, maintenance and on-call duties with a competitive package and overtime opportunities.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliant maintenance, keeping thorough records, and upholding health and safety standards while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems.
• Qualified to service extinguishers and Ansul per British Standards.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices.
• Strong customer care focus.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to work at heights up to 3 metres and lift weights up to 25kg.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers and Ansul fire suppression systems at various sites such as restaurants and hotels.
• Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy and the company management system as it applies to this role.
• Complete paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Take part in the on call rota alongside colleagues.
• Maintain and operate equipment safely and monitor inspection procedures.
• Keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
