A growing machine-tool service company in the Midlands is seeking a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, repair, and service CNC machine tools at customer sites. The ideal candidate has proven field service experience and strong control knowledge. Competitive salary of £40,000-£50,000 plus OTE. Training and genuine progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience on CNC machine tools.
• Strong control knowledge: Heidenhain, FANUC, Mazatrol (Mazak), Mitsubishi.
• Solid electrical and mechanical skills; confident diagnostic approach.
• Full UK driving license; comfortable with regional travel.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and service CNC machine tools on customer sites.
• Install and commission equipment; complete PPMs and health checks.
• Electrical/mechanical fault-finding, reading schematics and service docs.
• Produce clear service reports and keep parts/works logs accurate.

Skills

Proven field service experience on CNC machine tools

Strong control knowledge: Heidenhain, FANUC, Mazatrol (Mazak), Mitsubishi

Solid electrical and mechanical skills

Confident diagnostic approach

Full UK driving license

Comfortable with regional travel

Field Service Engineer - Machine Tools. Location: Midlands-based (within ~50-100 miles). Salary: £40,000-£50,000 basic DOE. Package: Door-to-door pay, overtime after 8 hours per day, holidays, OTE £55,000-£70,000+. Vehicle: Company van or hybrid car provided, or car allowance. The role

Join a growing machine-tool service team delivering install, commissioning, breakdown response and planned maintenance across customer sites. You'll be the trusted expert on controls and fault-finding, keeping production moving and clients happy.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose, repair and service CNC machine tools on customer sites
• Install and commission equipment; complete PPMs and health checks
• Electrical/mechanical fault-finding, reading schematics and service docs
• Controls work across Heidenhain, FANUC, Mazatrol (Mazak) and Mitsubishi
• Produce clear service reports and keep parts/works logs accurate
• Travel across the region with occasional UK-wide visits as needed
