Role Overview

Service Engineer - Up to £43,000 Basic (OTE £50K+). Based near Rotherham | UK-Wide Travel | Company Vehicle Provided

Are you a mechanically biased Service Engineer looking for a varied and rewarding role with a leading precision engineering company? We are hiring for a Service Engineer to join our clients team, supporting their UK-wide customer base with occasional travel to Europe (95% UK based).

The Role

You'll be responsible for the efficient and safe installation, service, and repair of high-precision rotary tables and presetters, working both on customer sites and in their Rotherham-based workshop.

  • Servicing and installing rotary tables/presetters across the UK
  • Conducting in-depth diagnostics, repairs, and refurbishments
  • Preparing and testing new systems in-house
  • Operating workshop machinery including grinders, mills, and lathes
  • Accurately identifying parts using drawings, bespoke software, and technical data
  • Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards

About You

We're looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical background and a passion for precision.

You will need:

  • Mechanical bias
  • Apprentice trained (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Previous field service or workshop experience
  • A good understanding of CNC, tooling, or rotary systems (advantageous)
  • Electrical qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
