Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover railway stations from Newbury to London, with a competitive salary and benefits. The role involves maintaining and fault-finding on Station Information and Security Systems (SISS) such as CCTV, PA, CIS, Access Control, and network infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have experience with electronic security or IP-networked systems, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and fault-find on SISS across railway stations from Newbury to London.
• Support CCTV, PA, CIS, Access Control, and network infrastructure.
• Work in the field, primarily in pairs, and travel as required.

Our client is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance activities across railway stations between Newbury and London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and fault-finding on a range of Station Information and Security Systems (SISS), including:

• CCTV
• Public Address (PA) Systems
• Customer Information Systems (CIS)
• Access Control
• Structured Cabling
• Network Infrastructure

Requirements

• Experience with electronic security, fire alarms, communications, or IP networked systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role, although generally you’ll work in a pair
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Rail experience desirable but not essential
