Job summary

The role installs, commissions, and maintains high‑value equipment at customer sites across the UK, delivering first‑class technical support.

Ideal candidates hold a BEng/HND/HNC or equivalent, with strong organizational and analytical skills and experience with large machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience working with large mechanical/digital machinery.
• CAD knowledge advantageous.
• Clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Visit sites across the UK to support company machinery.

Field Service Engineer

Region: Berkshire / Oxfordshire / Northamptonshire

Country: United Kingdom

We are looking for an enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join a world‑leading manufacturer of precision digital cutting systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining high‑value capital equipment at customer sites across the UK, delivering first‑class technical support and customer service.

Main Duties

• Visit sites across the UK to support company machinery
• Provide mechanical support at client sites, troubleshoot and repairs
• Installation of new equipment, moving machines, services and decommissioning
• Provide telephone support where appropriate

Key Skills

• Education or experience in BEng, HND, HNC or relevant industry background
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Experience working with large mechanical/digital machinery
• Computer literate; CAD or graphics software knowledge advantageous
• Clean driving licence

Experience

• Proven experience in a similar field service role
• Background in engineering, particularly in equipment installation and maintenance

Desired Skills

• Formal qualification in engineering (HNC, HND, BEng or equivalent) preferred but not essential if balanced by strong experience
• Experience in a similar role, particularly with high‑value technical equipment

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for travel and customer support needs
• Initial induction at the UK head office for 1–2 weeks
• Ongoing support with a colleague for at least 4–6 months to ensure high quality service
