Job summary

The Hinton Recruitment Partnership is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the North West. You will install, repair and maintain semi and fully automatic packaging machinery at customer sites, with training provided and long-term progression. A minimum of 2 years in field service is required, English fluency, and a full driving license.

A Siemens PLC knowledge is an advantage. You will benefit from a starting salary around £40,000 plus overtime, a company car/van, 25 days

Qualifications

• Ideally a qualification in electro mechanics, mechanics, electricity, electro technics or similar.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar field service environment.
• Experience with EOL packaging machinery is advantageous but not essential.
• Customer oriented and responsible with good communication.
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills; computer literate (MS Office).
• Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens) is advantageous.
• Full driving licence and North West based preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repair of semi- and fully automatic packaging machines at customer sites.
• Provide support for technical improvements and troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Provide training and ensure preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
• Be proactive and safe in operating machines.
• Collaborate with back office and technical service for planning, orders, parts, and advice.

Field Service Engineer

£40,000 + overtime + car/van + 25 days holiday + company pension

Reporting into the Service Team Manager, following a comprehensive training programme, you will be responsible for carrying out installations, repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of hand equipment as well as semi and fully automatic end of line Packaging machinery. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to train on new machinery and stay with a business long term.

Main Responsibilities

• Installation, repair of semi- and fully automatic industrial packaging machines and tools at customer sites


• Providing support and assistance for technical improvements, changes and troubleshooting at customer sites


• Providing training and ensure preventive maintenance to avoid mechanical and electrical breakdowns


• Be proactive and reactive in using the machines correctly


• Work with other departments you will receive practical and administrative support from our clients back office and technical service with regard to planning, orders, parts, technical advice, etc

Skills & Experience

• Ideally a qualification in Electro mechanics, mechanics, electricity, electro technics or similar


• Minimum 2-years experience in a similar field service environment


• Previous experience of working with EOL Packaging machinery will be a distinct advantage but isn't essential.


• Customer oriented and problem-solving attitude with high sense of responsibility.


• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.


• Computer literate (min. MS Office).


• Knowledge of programming a PLC, preferably Siemens, is an advantage but not essential.


• You must be based in the North West and due to the nature of this role have a full Driving License
