TalentTech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair materials preparation machinery across the UK & Ireland. The role involves visiting laboratories, performing ppm and breakdown repairs, and conducting fault diagnosis with mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ppm, servicing and breakdown repairs on lab equipment.
• Work hands-on with mechanical and electrical gear and fault-finding.
• Visit customer facilities and perform remote diagnostics where applicable.
• Support travel requirements with occasional overnight stays.
• Maintain accurate service reports and safety standards.

£35,000 - £39,000 Basic Salary + Company Vehicle + Benefits + Training

Are you a practical, technically minded professional ready for your next challenge? Do you have some electrical fault-finding experience with a multi meter? Perhaps you've been an engineer from the Armed Forces, looking for the next thing? Enjoy being customer facing?This role could be of interest. Here, you'll be working for a manufacturer of equipment often found in the labs of manufacturers, universities and heavy industry. They're seeking a field service engineer to join an existing team.

Your Role as a Field Service Engineer

• Conducting ppm, service, and breakdown repairs to equipment found in materials testing and preparation labs.
• Being hands-on with mechanical and electrical equipment, along with some electronic fault-finding.
• Visiting some desirable manufacturing and research facilities.
• You'll be accessing some equipment remotely too to carry out diagnostics.
• A Monday - Friday role, 37.5 hours per week; an average of 1 night per week away from home.

Ideal Background for the Field Service Engineer Position

You'll have a good engineering understanding from a mechanical and electrical perspective.

This role would also suit an engineer from the armed forces.

The service manager is ex-forces too.

Existing field service experience is advantageous.

Excellent communication & teamwork skills.

A full UK driving licence.

Right to work in the UK as no sponsorship provided.
