Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a long‑standing materials handling business. You will commission, service and maintain forklift trucks (gas and electric) and plant machinery across the Buckinghamshire area.

Responsibilities include repairs, diagnosing faults, ordering parts via PDA, and building strong relationships with customers while adhering to health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Experience as an FLT engineer and knowledge of FLT trucks.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills; excellent communication.
• Able to work to tight deadlines; team‑focused.

• Repair, maintain and service materials handling equipment.
• Diagnose faults and repair or replace faulty parts.
• Request parts via PDA.
• Report to the Service Co‑ordinator for scheduled work.
• Maintain and develop strong customer relationships.

• Adhere to all Quality, Compliance and Health & Safety policies.

• Covering the Buckinghamshire area We are proud to be working with a long‑established, family‑run materials handling business who are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team.

Supplying a wide range of materials handling equipment, powered access, cleaning machinery and more across the UK, this company prides itself on quality and reliability.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing and maintaining forklift trucks both gas and electric and plant machinery, ensuring customers receive a professional, efficient and safe service at all times.

The Role You'll carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on a variety of materials handling equipment, diagnosing faults, replacing defective parts and ensuring assets remain in excellent working order.

Forklift truck brands are predominantly Doosan and Mitsibushi.

You will work closely with the Service Co‑ordinator, building strong relationships with customers while representing the business professionally on site.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work to tight deadlines
• Flexible, supportive and team‑focused
• Good working knowledge of PDA systems and Protean
