Field Service Engineer (Mobile Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / Forklift)

Loughborough

Salary: GBP 30,000 - GBP 40,000 Base Salary (dependent on experience) + door-to-door travel when onsite + company van + overtime (OTE up to GBP 40,000 - GBP 45,000) + 23 days holiday + Bupa medical and dental + tool allowance

Working hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for a well-established supplier and maintenance provider of forklifts. This is a great opportunity to join a family-run business partnered with a leading forklift manufacturer, offering specialist training and development.

The role is suitable for engineers from various backgrounds such as plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, with ideally some engine diagnostic and basic electrical skills. This position is ideal for vehicle technicians looking to transition into the forklift industry, as the company provides further training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on forklifts and related equipment
2. Covering client sites in a region from Birmingham to Sheffield and Lincoln
3. Spending the first three to six months based at the Loughborough workshop for training
4. No overnight stays required; overtime is available
5. Completing company documentation
