The Role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for a leading supplier of medical gas equipment. The successful candidate will assist with comprehensive medical gas planning, design, maintenance, and installation services.

We will consider mechanically biased engineers with some electrical skills. Experience with compressors, generators, vacuum pumps, or similar equipment is advantageous. Candidates may include ex-forces personnel.

The role involves preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring excellent service delivery and continuous improvements. It is customer-focused, servicing a variety of medical gas systems within NHS and private hospitals across the region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work in accordance with industry standards and hospital requirements.
2. Perform service, repair, PPM checks, tests, and inspections on medical gas equipment such as air compressors, vacuum pumps, alarm panels, and hospital ward gas outlets.
3. Report major issues affecting medical gas supply.
4. Complete job summaries and maintenance reports.
5. Maintain van stocks.
6. Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota (1 day during the week and 1 weekend in 5).
