Job summary

Adler and Allan is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team at Brize Norton. You will perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, servicing and installation of environmental protection equipment across client sites, ensuring safety standards and site reliability.

You will audit sites, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with estimates and client proposals while maintaining accurate documentation and reports. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel are required.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of single and three-phase motors and electrical control panels.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of separator and interceptor systems and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Experience preparing RAMS documentation.
  • Flexible hours and travel; emergency responses.
  • IT skills: Word, Excel, email; ability to prepare reports.
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out site audits to ensure compliance with Adler and Allan standards and safety.
  • Promote safety culture and deliver professional service on site.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues.
  • Support installation, decommissioning and servicing of interceptor systems.
  • Ensure daily work is conducted safely, accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare scopes of work, RAMS and method statements.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment as qualified.
  • Carry out site surveys and assist with estimates and client proposals.
  • Submit all required documentation within agreed timescales.

Field Service Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Airdrie. You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and installation across a range of environmental protection equipment, helping to keep our customers' sites operating safely and effectively.

Working alongside our Operations teams, you'll use your technical knowledge to identify and resolve issues, support site surveys and deliver practical solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

About you:

  • Basic knowledge of single and three-phase motors and electrical control panels.
  • A good understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of separator and interceptor systems, with an understanding of relevant industry standards and best practice being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Experience preparing, issuing and completing RAMS documentation.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and travel, with the ability to respond to emergency works when required.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email, with the ability to prepare clear reports.
  • A full UK driving licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
  • A willingness to undertake additional training and continue developing your technical skills.

Desirable to Hold:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671.
  • A Level 2 or 3 electrical or mechanical qualification, NVQ or equivalent.
