Job summary

Adler and Allan in Airdrie is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform planned preventative maintenance, servicing and installation across environmental protection equipment, helping customer sites operate safely and efficiently.

You will work with Operations to identify and resolve issues, support site surveys, prepare scopes of work and RAMS, and complete on-site documentation while maintaining a strong safety culture and flexible travel as required.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of single- and three-phase motors and electrical control panels.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of separator and interceptor systems and relevant industry standards.
  • Knowledge of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Experience preparing, issuing and completing RAMS documentation.
  • Willingness to travel and respond to emergency works as required.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and email, with ability to prepare clear reports.
  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undertake additional training to develop technical skills.

Field Service Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Airdrie. You’ll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and installation across a range of environmental protection equipment, helping to keep our customers’ sites operating safely and effectively.

Working alongside our Operations teams, you’ll use your technical knowledge to identify and resolve issues, support site surveys and deliver practical solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.

  • Carry out site audits to ensure compliance with Adler and Allan standards, client requirements and safe working practices.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and deliver a professional service at all times.

  • Ensure day-to-day work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare scopes of work, risk assessments and method statements.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment for which you are suitably qualified.
  • Carry out site surveys and assist with the preparation of estimates and client proposals.
  • Complete all required job documentation accurately and submit paperwork within agreed timescales.

Qualifications
About you:

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email, with the ability to prepare clear reports.
  • A full UK driving licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
  • A willingness to undertake additional training and continue developing your technical skills.
Desirable to Hold:
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS 7671.
  • A Level 2 or 3 electrical or mechanical qualification, NVQ or equivalent.
