Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)

Location: Hull Territory

Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday & Friday until 4pm

Starting Salary: £31,000 - £34,000

This role is with a successful manufacturer of forklift trucks, suitable for engineers from plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment, or similar backgrounds. It offers comprehensive training and support, ideal for vehicle technicians seeking a career change into this industry. Mechanical service and repair skills, engine diagnostics, and basic electrical skills are preferred.

The main responsibilities include:

• Carrying out PPM and breakdown services on materials handling machinery
• Providing reactive breakdown coverage within the designated area
• Completing training to become fully competent on all machinery
• Managing spares in the van overnight

The ideal candidate will have experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, or automotive/motor trade backgrounds. A Level 3 qualification or equivalent and IT literacy are preferred.
