Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our UK team serving customers in the Wellingborough/Norwich area. You will diagnose faults and service a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites, sometimes travelling daily between sites.

We welcome vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers with experience in forklift maintenance. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you should be comfortable using IT equipment and working autonomously

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification preferred but not essential.
• Experience as forklift technician, plant fitter or vehicle technician.
• Holds a full UK driving license and can work autonomously or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing at customer sites.
• Provide support and training where required.

Do you have experience in one for the following disciplines, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Hydraulics?

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

We use the latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders, therefore being comfortable using IT equipment is essential.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license (Field and Resident Engineers only).

As a Linde engineer you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and within a team.

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you!

In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.
