Job summary

Dawsongroup Material Handling is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to diagnose, service and repair forklift trucks at customer locations across South East London and Essex. You will work independently, delivering high standards of customer service and maintain tools and your service vehicle to a professional level.

  • Fully skilled engineer with relevant material handling experience.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, safely and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer, Forklift Engineer or Mobile Engineer looking for your next opportunity in Material Handling? As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll service, diagnose and repair forklift trucks at customer locations across South East London and Essex, working independently while delivering a high standard of customer service.

  • Diagnose, repair and service forklift trucks safely, economically and with minimal supervision.
  • Examine equipment and report on its condition, repairs completed, parts used and time taken.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and your service vehicle in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Build positive relationships with designated customers while representing Dawsongroup professionally.

About You

You’ll bring strong mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment and the ability to work confidently across diesel, LPG, hydraulic and electronic systems. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well and can operate independently while maintaining high standards of safety and care.
