Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Midlands team. You will diagnose and rectify faults on a range of forklift and material handling equipment at customer sites, performing preventative maintenance and supporting customers with on-site technical issues.

We cover the DY, WR and parts of the B postcode areas; a full UK driving licence is required; NVQ level 3 preferred. A company van, fuel card, 25 days annual leave, pension, and ongoing manufacturer training

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/electrical hydraulics related fields is essential.
• IT literacy to keep records and place orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and prevent faults on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance at customer sites.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Midlands area. The geographical patch to be covered is the DY, WR and some B postcode area. We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you! Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Hydraulics

Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.

You must hold a full UK driving licence.
