DiPerk Power Solutions is the authorized OEM distributor for Perkins in the UK and Ireland, providing support for repairs and servicing of plant, electric power, agricultural, or marine equipment.

Major Job Functions:
  1. Customer Communication: Engage with customers/end users to understand procedures, adhere to site requirements, and provide estimated arrival times. (10%)
  2. Pre-task Assessments: Conduct safety assessments to ensure site and task safety aligning with Diperk/Finning standards. (20%)
  3. Diagnosis and Reporting: Perform complex diagnostics on engine problems, including mechanical and electrical issues, and update customers with findings. Prepare detailed reports for quotes. (25%)
  4. Parts Identification and Requisition: Determine necessary parts, requisition them, and coordinate delivery schedules for service planning. (10%)
  5. Engine Overhauls and Repairs: Carry out overhauls, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Perkins engines, including component removal, dispatch, and reinstallation. (25%)
  6. Support and Availability: Support call-outs for breakdowns, including overtime and travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays. (10%)

Knowledge:
  • Proficiency with diagnosis tools and equipment
  • In-depth knowledge of Diesel engines, including electrical systems and aftertreatment
  • Understanding of Power Generation systems
  • Warranty processes (desirable)
Accountability:
  • Conduct site risk assessments and prepare method statements
  • Inspect and test completed machines, report defects, and ensure safety compliance
  • Complete service reports and warranty documentation for billing
Education & Experience:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in field service
  • Experience with customer interaction, heavy earth-moving, construction, static machines, and power generation
  • Full UK driving license

The role includes provision of a service van, laptop, mobile phone, and distributor-level training using advanced diagnostic equipment.
