Job summary

Scinergy Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engine Technician to cover Maidstone and nearby areas. You will perform fault finding, servicing and minor repairs on engine-based power generation equipment, across multiple sites, with full training provided.

Role requires hands-on engine experience, a mechanical or electrical background, and a valid UK driving licence. Competitive salary plus company van, fuel card and bonus are on offer.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engine-based power generation equipment
• Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Routine servicing, inspections and minor repairs
• Assist with engine overhauls and larger maintenance tasks
• Attend breakdowns and return equipment to service
• Complete service reports and notes
• Manage tools, parts and van stock
• Work across multiple sites in the local area
• Follow health and safety procedures

Field Service Engine Technician

Up to £45,000 Basic + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Bonus
Monday - Friday (Days)

We're currently looking for a Field Service Engine Technician to join a well-established business within the energy sector, supporting a number of green energy power generation sites across the Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Swanley, Staplehurst regions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an engine-orientated background who is open to a field-based role involving fault finding, servicing and overhauls on power generation equipment. Full training will be provided, but experience with engines is essential.

The Role

• Supporting the general maintenance and upkeep of engine-based power generation equipment
• Assisting with fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs
• Supporting larger maintenance tasks and engine overhauls
• Attending breakdowns and helping return equipment to service
• Completing basic service reports and job notes
• Managing tools, parts, and general van stock
• Working across multiple sites in the local area
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

About You

• Mechanical or Electrical background (NVQ / City & Guilds or similar)
• Hands-on mechanical or engineering experience with engines
• Keen to learn and develop new skills
• Full UK driving licence
