Job summary

SCINERGY Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engine Technician to support green energy power generation sites across Exeter, Plymouth and Newton Abbot. This field-based role involves fault finding, servicing and overhauls on engines, with full training provided.

The ideal candidate has an engine-oriented background, hands-on mechanical or engineering experience, and holds a full UK driving licence. A competitive package includes a company van, fuel card and bonus.

• NVQ / City & Guilds or similar required.
• Hands-on mechanical or engineering experience with engines.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and upkeep of engine-based power generation equipment.
• Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and basic electrical systems.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs.
• Support larger maintenance tasks and engine overhauls.
• Attend breakdowns and help return equipment to service.
• Complete basic service reports and job notes.
• Manage tools, parts, and van stock.
• Work across multiple sites in the local area.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.

Field Service Engine Technician

Up to £45,000 Basic + Vehicle + Fuel Card + Bonus

Monday - Friday (Days)

We’re currently looking for a Field Service Engine Technician to join a well-established business within the energy sector, supporting a number of green energy power generation sites across the Exeter, Plymouth, Newton Abbot

This is a great opportunity for someone with an engine-orientated background who is open to a field-based role involving fault finding, servicing and overhauls on power generation equipment. Full training will be provided, but experience with engines is essential.

The Role

• Supporting the general maintenance and upkeep of engine-based power generation equipment
• Assisting with fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs
• Supporting larger maintenance tasks and engine overhauls
• Attending breakdowns and helping return equipment to service
• Completing basic service reports and job notes
• Managing tools, parts, and general van stock
• Working across multiple sites in the local area
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

About You

• Mechanical or Electrical background (NVQ / City & Guilds or similar)
• Hands-on mechanical or engineering experience with engines
• Keen to learn and develop new skills
• Full UK driving licence
