Job summary

SCINERGY Recruitment Limited seeks a Field Service Engine Technician to support green energy power generation sites across Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Swanley and Staplehurst. The role involves fault finding, servicing and engine overhauls with full training provided; a UK driving licence is essential.

You will travel to multiple local sites performing mechanical and electrical diagnostics, routine servicing and incident response, with a Monday–Friday day shift and a salary up to £45,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical background (NVQ / City & Guilds or similar).
• Hands-on mechanical or engineering experience with engines.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engine-based power generation equipment across sites.
• Diagnose faults on mechanical and basic electrical systems.
• Perform routine servicing, inspections and minor repairs.
• Support larger maintenance tasks and engine overhauls.
• Attend breakdowns and help return equipment to service.
• Complete basic service reports and job notes.
• Manage tools, parts and van stock.
• Work across multiple sites in the local area.
• Follow health & safety procedures at all times.

Field Service Engine Technician

Monday - Friday (Days)

We’re currently looking for a Field Service Engine Technician to join a well-established business within the energy sector, supporting a number of green energy power generation sites across the Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Swanley, Staplehurst regions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an engine-orientated background who is open to a field-based role involving fault finding, servicing and overhauls on power generation equipment. Full training will be provided, but experience with engines is essential.

The Role

• Supporting the general maintenance and upkeep of engine-based power generation equipment
• Assisting with fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and minor repairs
• Supporting larger maintenance tasks and engine overhauls
• Attending breakdowns and helping return equipment to service
• Completing basic service reports and job notes
• Managing tools, parts, and general van stock
• Working across multiple sites in the local area
• Following health & safety procedures at all times

About You
