Hitachi has an exciting Field Service Apprentice opportunity that starts in October 2026. This role offers both college and on‑site training. This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to join the High Voltage Service team and develop practical engineering skills while working towards a recognised engineering qualification. The role combines academic study with hands‑on field experience supporting the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of Hitachi Energy High Voltage equipment. The apprentice will gain experience working alongside skilled engineers on customer sites and Hitachi Energy projects, supporting a range of High Voltage products including Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB), Dead Tank Breakers (DTB), Live Tank Breakers (LTB), protection and control systems, operating mechanisms, monitoring systems, and associated ancillary equipment. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about engineering, willing to learn, adaptable to changing environments, and committed to developing a career within the power industry.
