Job Title: Field Server IT Technician

Are you a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working directly in the field and resolving real-world technical issues? We are seeking a Field Server IT Technician to support various clients in the Plymouth area. If you are proactive, self-motivated, and ready to start immediately, this opportunity is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking problems
• Conducting regular on-site health checks and system updates
• Supporting backups, applying patches, and managing disaster recovery procedures
• Working independently while providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining clear records of work and findings

What You’ll Need:

• At least 2 years of experience in a server/field support role
• Strong skills with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
• Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• A proactive approach and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Full UK driving license and own transport (this is a field-based role)

Nice to Have:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, Cisco
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and backup solutions
