Job summary

Sonic Security Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Security Systems Engineer for installation, service and fault-finding across intruder alarms, CCTV and access control. The role is field-based, covering Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, with overtime, bonuses and call-out allowance.

Applicants must have hands-on experience and be able to diagnose faults independently, with good customer service and documentation skills. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ hands-on experience in electronic security industry.
• Proven experience installing, servicing and fault-finding intruder alarm systems.
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults without supervision and work to industry standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to complete service and installation documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning electronic security systems.
• Servicing, maintaining and fault-finding existing systems.
• Working across intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
• Completing job sheets and relevant technical documentation.
• Communicating professionally with commercial customers.
• Participating in the company call-out rota.
• Occasional working away when required, with advance notice.
