We’re seeking an External Sales Executive with a solid background in Automation to join our dynamic team, managing and growing accounts in key postcode areas: OX, HP, WD, LU, AL. This isn’t just about winning new business — it's about building lasting relationships with existing clients while expanding our customer base in an established territory.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Customer Engagement: Build lasting, trust-based relationships with customers by regularly visiting them face-to-face. As the face of the company in your territory, you'll be out on the road, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Account Management: Take ownership of existing accounts, providing excellent service and ensuring customers' needs are met with precision. Your job is not only to maintain but to nurture and grow these relationships.
  • New Business Development: While the region is already home to many valued customers, you'll also be on the lookout for fresh opportunities to win new business, driving expansion in your area.
  • Solution Selling: Dive deep into customer requirements and offer tailored, innovative automation solutions from a diverse portfolio of trusted brands, including Siemens and other leading manufacturers.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Bring the company’s sales strategy to life, ensuring it resonates in your region and drives growth and success.
  • Product Expertise: Become the go-to expert on automation products and solutions, enabling you to cross-sell, upsell, and provide unparalleled value to your customers.
  • Sales Targets & Rewards: Hit monthly sales targets and share in the success with attractive bonuses and commissions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and smooth sales operations.
  • Diary Management: Stay organised and efficient, maximising your time for customer visits and business development.
  • Market Awareness: Keep a keen eye on trends, competitors, and market conditions to ensure you stay ahead in the game.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates to management on your pipeline and sales performance, ensuring alignment with company goals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: Previous experience in external sales, ideally within Automation or Electrical Distribution. However, a background in other engineering sectors is also welcome.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding (or eagerness to learn) of automation products, robotics, and electrical solutions.
  • Proven Success: A track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential as travel across the OX, HP, WD, LU, AL areas is required.
