The Field Sales Manager (FSM) should successfully lead a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to deliver the sales strategy and meet the performance metrics identified for their area of responsibility.
The FSM will develop the sales strategy by creating a clear Market Strategy Plan (MSP). They will manage the TSM team and take ownership of larger value key accounts, which may extend beyond their geographical boundary.
The FSM will play a key role in developing effective relationships with key customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to create sales opportunities and develop a competitive advantage.
