Job Description:

Role: Field Sales Executive

Location: Liverpool (field-based with HQ visits and offsite meetings)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum plus performance-related bonus

InStore collaborates with retailers, suppliers, and publishers, providing field-based merchandising, marketing, supply chain auditing, and compliance solutions.

This role involves driving new retail collection points by selling the Smiths News Recycle offer to independent retail businesses creating dry mixed recycling within specified geographical areas.

If you have relevant field sales experience and demonstrate your abilities, you could join our field sales team with Instore on behalf of Smiths News.

The role requires managing a territory, visiting retailers, and effectively communicating the service offer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive service offers to meet KPIs, engaging with retailers to complete sales.
• Develop strong customer relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Approach sales with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Complete all calls within the territory plan daily.
• Maintain a high-performing field mentality to achieve KPIs.
• Communicate effectively, share best practices, and keep management informed.
• Escalate and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the service offer to aid sales.
• Ensure high standards in execution and administration.
• Provide constructive feedback to support business growth.
• Understand the retail landscape and Smiths News delivery network.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in sales or retail, preferably FMCG or consumer goods.
• Relationship-building skills and sales techniques experience.
• Proven ability in remote field activity and achieving targets.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Track record of sales success and influencing change.
• Ability to document ideas and drive performance.
