TRS (Technical Recruitment Solutions) are seeking a technically strong Sales Engineer to develop into a field sales role within the food processing sector in the UK. The role focuses on understanding customer operations and building valuable relationships with engineering and procurement teams.

Applicants may come from Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer or related technical roles in food processing, refrigeration, or wider food manufacturing, and should be ambitious with a commercial mindset

Qualifications

• Tech/engineering background in food processing or related sector.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and develop commercially valuable relationships.

Responsibilities

• Visiting food manufacturing and processing sites.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Operations and Procurement teams.
• Understand customer processes, challenges and future requirements.
• Identify opportunities for equipment, projects and services.
• Develop existing customer relationships and generate new business.
• Manage opportunities through the sales process and develop territory plans.
