Job summary

Western Counties Roofing Ltd is seeking a Site Supervisor to support the contracts team, overseeing around 15 site operations across North Devon. This field-based role requires coordinating materials, scheduling, and leading toolbox talks with tradesmen.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and buyer, ensuring timely progress, safety compliance, and effective communication. A full-time position with a company vehicle and pension benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pitched roofing.
• Able to manage a team within the construction sector.
• Able to manage, organise and work in site conditions.
• A positive and proactive attitude.
• Valid driving license.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Team player with excellent communication, and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Must reside within a commutable distance to North Devon.
• Company vehicle provided, subject to Revenue & Customs regulations.
• Full-time position.
• Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays.
• Pension: Auto Enrolment in Workplace Pension.
• Working Hours: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (remote work is not available for this position).
• Salary: Starting from £40,000.00 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations across North Devon on ~15 contracts.
• Coordinate material deliveries and scheduling with Contracts Manager and buyer.
• Deliver toolbox talks to tradesmen bi-monthly.
• Attend weekly on-site subcontractor meetings.
• Report design and detail changes for management review.
