Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United Kingdom seeks a Site Quality Manager to lead quality activities on the project site. The role requires relocation to the new project site, with field-based responsibility at Peterhead during execution.

The SQM will manage QA/QC, ITP/ITR, non-conformance, audits, and supplier quality, ensuring compliance with project plans and customer requirements. Travel to sites as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, engineering or quality management.
• 5+ years’ construction quality on-site experience or in operations.
• Power or energy industry experience.
• Proven capability in change management within large, complex projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review contractual and local site quality requirements and risk mitigations.
• Lead quality activities, QA/QC on site and ensure compliance with project plans.
• Educate site personnel in the quality management system and completion system.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation (ITP/ITR) at site.
• Coordinate audits, NCRs, punch lists, and acceptances with customers and authorities.
• Monitor calibration of testing equipment and maintain quality KPIs.
• Support on-time, in-budget project execution through quality inputs.
