A leading M&E contractor in London is seeking a UK Field Quality Engineer to enhance quality across their UK operations. The role requires overseeing quality across mechanical and electrical packages, implementing quality plans, and managing defects. Candidates should have experience in M&E construction, strong understanding of QA/QC processes, and the ability to read technical documents. A degree in a related field or a solid trade background is preferred. This position offers a chance to work on high-value projects and grow within the company.
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering preferred.
Strong trade/technical background with QA/QC experience is acceptable.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 is essential.
Responsibilities
Implement project quality plans and inspection regimes.
Ensure installations meet specifications and standards.
Lead audits, inspections and quality reviews across sites.
Manage NCRs, defects and corrective actions.
Support testing and commissioning readiness.
Skills
Experience in M&E construction
Strong understanding of QA/QC processes
Ability to read drawings and specifications
Experience managing defects and NCRs
Strong communication skills
Education
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Knowledge of ISO 9001
Membership of CIBSE, IET, Engineers Ireland or CQI
