Job summary

Alexander Associates Limited is seeking a hands-on Field Process Engineer to support commissioning, optimization and performance improvements of water and wastewater treatment technologies across customer sites in the UK. This role blends technical process engineering with practical, site-based problem solving to improve treatment performance and asset reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process, Chemical, Environmental, Water Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in water/wastewater industry, commissioning, optimisation or troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Strong ability to analyse process data and diagnose performance issues.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support across commissioning, troubleshooting, optimisation and after-sales activities.
• Investigate performance issues using site observations, data, sampling results and process analysis.
• Identify root causes and distinguish between equipment faults and wider process issues.
• Recommend improvements to process performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with commissioning plans, performance testing, pilot trials and remedial investigations.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support customer training, technical presentations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share insights to inform engineering, design and product development.
