McGill University’s Morgan Arboretum is hiring Three Field Operations Assistant positions. You will act as a resource person, coordinate projects, and help resolve issues during work shifts, with a focus on safety and orderly workflow.

The roles require a High School Diploma, English/French bilingualism, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Part-time schedule at $16.75 per hour; start date 2026-09-23 and end 2027-01-09, under the AMUSE

Qualifications

Autonomous and resourceful, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Act as a resource person, coordinate projects and resolve issues arising during work shift.
Ensure that instructions and protocols are followed, including safety measures and safety equipment. Supports and guides field operations team to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.
Participates in the management of invasive plants.
Carries out and plans educational programs (i.e. guided tours).
Assist in the service to members, visitors, and academic clientele.
Patrols and monitors the trails at the Morgan Arboretum.
Performs landscaping, trail maintenance and ecological restoration which may require use of specialized equipment or vehicles.
