Job summary

Lanes Group plc is seeking a Field Manager for the Millbrook Depot, Hampshire. You will lead a multi-skilled team of waste network service engineers to deliver 24/7 reactive and planned operational responses while maintaining safety and budgetary control.

You will oversee health and safety, performance delivery, vehicle utilisation, and liaison with planners, HR and regional management. A full UK driving licence and prior management experience are essential; utilities sector knowledge is

Qualifications

Previous management and leadership experience is crucial.
Full UK driving licence.
Knowledge of utilities sector, especially drainage and wastewater, will be an advantage.
Ability to prioritise and multitask whilst building working relationships.

Responsibilities

Carry out site inspections
Coordinate field engineers
Manage fleet issues
Evaluate employee performance
Liaise with the office planners / team leaders
Conducting one-to-ones
Vehicle utilisation
Resource availability
Assisting the client with high profile jobs
Monitor engineers’ performances
Carry out and liaise with HR on disciplinaries / interviews / pathway reviews
Looking after the wellbeing of the field staff
Be aware of Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards them
Any other reasonable ad hoc duties requested by the Regional Manager for Hampshire, the Head of Field Operations or any other member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
