Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to service and optimise power generation assets in Leatherhead. You will perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on customer installations, diagnose faults, and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency.

The role offers weekend and out-of-hours work on a rota and includes a company van, pension, private healthcare, and development opportunities as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' industrial mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
• Strong practical knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Full, valid UK driving licence
• Flexibility to participate in a 24-hour call-out rota

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled maintenance on customer installations
• Responding to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out repairs and remedial works
• Supporting the operation and optimisation of customer installations
• Identifying opportunities to improve system efficiency and reliability
• Working to reduce downtime and unnecessary use of time and materials
• Ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained
