Field Officer – Data Entry

Islamic Relief Jordan (IRJ) is a country branch of the internationally recognized charity Islamic Relief Worldwide, operating in over 28 countries and dedicated to humanitarian and developmental aid. IRJ has been active in Jordan since 1997, providing a range of programs from orphan sponsorship to emergency response for Syrian refugees. IRJ’s health department delivers primary, secondary, and tertiary care services and supports community wellbeing in the Azraq Camp area.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Perform high‑quality mobilization activities, crowd control, and enter patients into the clinic system.
  2. Enter patient data into the clinic operating system and maintain paper medical records.
  3. Ensure well‑organized and safe filing for the project’s files and data.
  4. Manage beneficiaries’ files, registration, and workflow, ensuring all assessments are entered accurately.
  5. Conduct home visits for beneficiaries upon request and provide follow‑up care as needed.
  6. Produce analysis, figures, statistics, and reports requested by the project manager.
  7. Handle administrative, logistical, and financial duties related to all aspects of project implementation.
  8. Maintain an effective communication system and ensure information flows between the project and relevant parties.
  9. Support effective monitoring of the project, including financial aspects, to keep spending on track.
  10. Submit weekly and monthly reports as requested.
  11. Track all activities and ensure alignment with plans to meet deadlines.
  12. Perform any other tasks appointed by the senior medical doctor.
Skills and Competence
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in NGOs, iNGOs, or CBOs/CSOs.
  • Preferred experience in field settings, health programme management, and working in Syrian refugee camps (Azraq or Zaatari).
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary, multicultural team and with government, community, and stakeholder partners.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of humanitarian issues and experience working directly with local NGOs or communities.
  • Report writing, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Good knowledge of international humanitarian principles and standards, including CHS, SPHERE, ICRC Code of Conduct, and related standards.
  • Awareness of gender sensitivity, protection, inclusion, and the social–cultural context relevant to Jordan and camp settings.
  • Capability to identify protection risks (e.g., gender‑based vulnerabilities, inclusion issues) and manage them responsibly.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with employees at all levels and with diverse external contacts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably a medical background (Pharmacy, Nursing, Business Administration, Sociology, etc.).
