Job summary

Vodafone is recruiting for a field-based network engineer working a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). The position requires the ability to obtain SC clearance and offers an excellent salary with bonus and Vodafone benefits.

The role focuses on monitoring, maintaining and configuring customer networks, with hands-on work on routers, switches, and firewalls, plus site surveys and health-and-safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system environments.
• Strong background in IP networking, including CCNA-level knowledge, WAN, LAN, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Nokia platforms, including Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P.
• Excellent understanding of routing, switching, and data networking principles.
• Experience working with XTran technology.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Visio for network and technical diagramming.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documentation for customer networks.
• Install, configure, fault find, and maintain routers, switches and firewalls.
• Complete site surveys to enable installation.
• Rack, charger and telecoms equipment installation and commissioning to a high standard.
• Create Health and Safety documentation such as RAMS and POWRA to ensure H&S compliance.
