Job summary

Gi Group Ireland Limited is hiring Meter Readers for postcodes across the UK. No prior experience required. You will collect reads from gas, electricity and water meters for both commercial and residential sites, updating data on a handheld device and providing excellent service.

Full training is provided, with a 40–45 hour week, flexible start times, and a company car. Benefits include pension, holiday allowance, and a bonus scheme with earnings up to £2,000 monthly.

Qualifications

• Manual UK driving licence with 1 year minimum, up to 6 points, no DR offences.
• Physically fit to bend, lift, climb stairs and walk 4–5 miles daily.
• Clear DBS check with no unspent convictions.
• Credit report check: no county court judgments in last 6 years.
• 5 years employment history.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial meters for Water, Gas and Electric.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys.
• Work independently with driving motivation.
• Maintain a friendly, professional approach and safety adherence.
