Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is hiring Meter Readers for field work across the UK. You will collect data from meters at residential and commercial properties, updating reads on a handheld device and ensuring accurate entry of details.

No prior experience required; full training will be provided. Expect 40–45 hours weekly with flexible start times, a company car, and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• What we will need: manual UK driving licence (1 year min, 6 points max, off-ences avoided).
• Physical fitness to bend, lift, climb stairs and walk 4–5 miles daily.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from water, gas and electricity meters at domestic and commercial sites.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment and perform Charge Point Surveys.
• Provide friendly customer service while working independently.
